Abaca is a banana species that provides fiber, the manila hemp. Usually, Abaca is processed into rope. When the fibers become dry, they also get a lot stronger which means you can twist them into ropes. It is known to be a very strong fiber and is resistant to water. Maintenance
Abaca is relatively easy to maintain. You can clean the fibers with a soft cloth and some warm water. If you use water, be sure it is allowed to dry quickly. We also recommend dusting it regularly.
